Edwin H Voothees III

I have been involved in fine art since childhood, having grown up in a prolific and very talented North Carolina family of artists. I spent fifteen years as a performing musician with a number of acts, touring the Southeastern United States, bringing Reggae music to many Southern towns for the first time. I also spent roughly the same amount of time as a Sous Chef in various restaraunts and other settings. After a stint as a heavily saught-after computer technologies instructor (training the likea of ABCNews.com, Cisco, DOD, Lockheed Martin and Boeing) for a major national computer VAR, I worked briefly as an IT consultant. I am still trying to cleanse my soul.

A few years ago I began working on the greens crew at FDR Golf Club, in South Philadelphia, which provided me with daily outdoor photographic opportunities. At the time I started, I had already begun showing my work in galleries and the Voorhees Family art Shows, held now annually in Asheville, North Carolina. I have been refining my technique and developing my style intensively, both in my photography, but also with regards to printmaking, digital and film darkroom techniques, digital painting, and sculpture.

I can now be found At FDR Golf Club, and Walnut Lane Golf Club. Many of my golf-themed prints are on display in the clubhoouses and available for sale through the clubs (with the lion's portion of the proceeds from the Walnut Lane collection going to The First Tee®. Contact
