Assignments

I am currently accepting assignments with a minimum lead time of two months for shoots involving travel, and three weeks for anything within three hours driving distance of Philadelphia, PA. Rates are flexible, and dependant on your expectations, the type of shoot, and the time and travel involved. I currently shoot with a combination of digital SLRs and large format (4x5) film cameras. The bulk of what you will see in the portfolios contained in this site were shot on municipal courses owned by the city of Philadelphia. They are by far the lowest price point of any courses in the area, with a budget that allows for only a minimum of expentature in the course setup department. Yet under the right light and circumstances they become magical gems, picturesque in their own rights. Golfers who've played the courses all thier lives will stare disbelievingly at one of my prints, sometimes for several minutes after I've told them what hole I shot it on. I always love to see it click when they get it, and they look of amazement on their faces makes me want to get up before dawn and head to another course and shoot some more.

In addition to golf landscapes I also greatly enjoy shooting architectural and environmental portraits. Not to be one-track minded, but an environmental portrait is a picture of a person, not doing their thing, but where they do their thing. Golf professionals, greenskeepers, GC mechanics, not to mention golfers...where they do their thing. I also shoot golf action and can be hired for outings and other special events. I work with a number of different vendors and can deliver any type of media you require.
